Meet the Cygnus Team:
Sharon Cromie is Headteacher of Wycombe High School (WHS), with responsibility for an outstanding selective school. Sharon became a National Leader of Education in 2013. Prior to joining WHS, Sharon worked in a range of other schools and colleges and has experience of selective, non-selective, FE and HE institutions. She is currently employed as an Ofsted Inspector, is a member of the Buckinghamshire Schools Forum and Children’s Partnership Board and sits on the National Centre for Computing Education (NCCE) Advisory Board.
Sally is Deputy Headteacher at Wycombe High School (WHS) and leads the Cygnus Teaching School Alliance. She has overarching responsibility for its Appropriate Body Service for NQTs in Buckinghamshire and beyond, the leadership and development of the National Mathematics and Physics SCITT (NMAPS), Cygnus CPD events and activities and School-to-School support. Sally is also the Acclimatisation and CPD Lead for the DfE's International Teacher Recruitment Programme.
Prior to joining WHS, Sally held a variety of senior leadership positions within selective and comprehensive schools. At WHS, she has been the strategic and operational lead on a range of initiatives and developments within and beyond the school and has a proven track record of positive impact on outcomes.
Cathy is the Teaching School Manager and is the first point of contact for enquiries regarding CPD events and activities, School-to-School Support, SLE applications and deployments and the DfE's International Teacher Recruitment Programme.
Annie is administrator for Cygnus Teaching School. She is the first point of contact for enquiries and applications regarding Appropriate Body Services and CPD for NQTs.
Abha is the BBO Maths Hubs Lead. She has been an Assistant Headteacher at Wycombe High School since Sept 2017. Prior to this, Abha taught in range of non-selective diverse state schools in London and the East of England. Abha is passionate about Mathematics Education and has been teaching for over 25 years. She has held both Mathematics and Senior Leadership positions and is committed to making a difference. Abha is a member of the Mathematics Association and the Association of Teachers of Mathematics and enjoys developing and nurturing the mathematical experience for students and teachers.

Sarah is Director of NMAPS. She has overarching responsibility for all aspects of the national programme. She has led the programme since its inception in 2017. A former RAF Officer, Sarah has worked in schools in the UK and overseas since 2010. She is passionate about education and, through NMAPS, is striving to ensure that an increasing number of well-qualified trainees join and thrive in the teaching profession.
